Chester is a delightful, silly, smart and very well behaved young "man". He is a crowd stopper when we take walks and is very friendly and gentle with everyone he meets (canine and otherwise). He is a very popular visitor at our local retirement community and he loves to go home to visit Mom and sister at Perry Greene Kennels. Nicknamed "Ferdinand" by his breeder he has turned out to be a nature lover - unable to understand why the frogs and chipmunks won't befriend him and the seagulls run away. He hasn't a drop of hunter/retriever in him much to the dismay of the teenagers in the house. He loves to run, swim, go boating, is an excellent car traveler and has been welcomed at many hotels. Chester is also the king of the couch, the bed, the hearth and parks himself in his kennel when we sit for dinner.. and later of course, he sings for his supper.
