Sam is a U.K.C. Limited Privileges (LP) registered Chinook - a rescue. He joined our family on March 26, 1996. (We used Cosmic Canines by Marilyn MacGruder Barnwell and the Book of Birthday Secrets by Clare Gibson to assign his birthdate!)

Sam is a mere novice at rigging, scootering and "formal agility". He excels in 'nook field hockey and soccer. He has completed advanced obedience. He brings special smiles to young people with Cerebral Palsy.

His work ethic is strong as his play drive! He helps with vacuuming, bringing in groceries and firewood and even picks up articles of clothing dropped on the way to the washing machine!

Sam is an avid gardener and loves fresh veggies. He saved me from a rattlesnake bite by taking the hit himself - my hero! Sam is always smiling and always has a story.

Truly, he's the best dog to ever own us! He's a joy in our lives.
