The Chinook Owners Association is proud to offer its members an opportunity to advertise their studs for service. However, the C.O.A. is not promoting or endorsing any of the dogs listed on this web page. Anyone who is a C.O.A. member and pays a listing fee can list their stud. The C.O.A. does not screen any of the dogs listed for health, temperament or conformation. Stud owners have an obligation to fully disclose any known genetic diseases in their dogs and lines. However, they may not wish to disclose these diseases in a public forum. So, even dogs with known genetic faults may be listed on this page without disclosure. Thus, it is critically important for all potential breeders to carefully screen any stud before making a decision to breed with the dog. As a breeder, you should make sure to ask a stud owner not only about the stud's health, but also about the health and temperament of his parents, siblings and progeny. You should ask about all known health problems, including, but not limited to, hips, eyes, seizures, cryporchadism and allergies (both skin & food). Finally, the C.O.A. encourages all breeders to enter into written stud service contracts before breeding their dog. This saves any confusion about the terms of the agreement when the puppies are born.
